Oxygen Storyline

A masochistic cop (Maura Tierney), who hides her predilection from her cop husband (Terry Kinney), gets involved in pursuing a kidnapper nicknamed Harry for Harry Houdini (Adrien Brody), who has kidnapped a rich woman (Laila Robins) and has buried her somewhere in Manhattan while demanding a ransom from her tycoon husband (James Naughton). Failure to pay the ransom within 24 hours will lead the kidnapper to abandoning the woman. Dylan Baker also appears as the fed that is assigned to the case.

'Adrien Brody' (qv) uses a knife at the end of the movie to cut 'Maura Tierney' (qv)'s character free from her restraints. This knife actually belongs to Adrien and has made its way into _Summer of Sam (1999)_ (qv) as well.
'Adrien Brody' (qv) was asked to sign a document clearing director 'Richard Shepard' and producers from lawsuits if Brody's teeth were damaged from the braces he wore during filming. Brody refused to sign, claiming he didn't want to sue anyone, but if his teeth were ruined during filming, he would have to sue.
Both 'Maura Tierney' (qv) and 'Adrien Brody' (qv) had to rush to finish this movie because both had other, bigger movies to film; _Forces of Nature (1999)_ (qv) and _Summer of Sam (1999)_ (qv), respectively.
'Adrien Brody' (qv) really had braces put on his teeth for his role as Harry, rather than get fake ones put in every day. He realized this was a mistake when he realized that he couldn't get into a fight at a bar because his upper lip would be destroyed by the braces.
'Adrien Brody' (qv)'s parents can be seen as Brody (as Harry) walks away from 'Maura Tierney' (qv) and the car crash.
