Babel Storyline

Richard and Susan are a couple from San Diego, California who are vacationing in Morocco while their two children are at home with their Mexican housekeeper, Amelia. A rifle finds its way into the hands of a local herdsman's young sons, who recklessly take a shot at a tour bus and hit Susan in the shoulder, causing her severe injury. The distraught Richard calls home to tell Amelia of the situation, who shortly departs for Mexico to attend her son's wedding, with Richard and Susan's children in tow. Disaster thus multiplies, with the situation in Morocco ascribed to terrorists in the media, while Amelia meets with trouble at the Mexican border when she attempts to return to San Diego with Richard and Susan's children. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, a widower tied to the rifle in question, a complex shift of ownership to which the audience is privy, attempts to deal with the memories of his recently deceased wife and his strained relationship with his deaf teenage daughter.

Babel goofs

CONT: Amelia's torn stockings from wandering in the desert repair themselves as she is brought into the immigration office.
CONT: When the deaf girl, Chieko and Detective Mamiya are out on the balcony, there are no buildings close to hers when he is looking at the view they have from above the 30th floor. Later Chieko is on the balcony, nude, and her father comes to comfort her. As the movie ends, a long shot of their balcony is shown from their balcony's height and there are two buildings, one the same height, and one taller, right next to theirs that were not there earlier.
CREW: After the girl takes her thong off she walks back up to the table with her friends. In this shot you can see the reflection of the steadicam arm, operator and an assistant in the mirror in the top left area of the screen.
CONT: In the scenes where the young Arab boys take a shot at the tourist bus containing Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, the boys are seen looking down from the hill at the right-hand side of the bus (where the passengers are facing forward). However, Pitt and Blanchett are sitting on the left-hand side of the bus and the shot is shown to enter the bus through a left-hand side window, hitting the latter.
CONT: When the Mexican lady is lost in the desert with the kids, she decides to stop under a tree so the kids can rest. At this moment, one can clearly see that the women is barefoot. Once she talks to the boy and starts walking away (leaving the kids behind) one can see that she is wearing shoes.
