Bolt Storyline
Bolt tells the story a dog who plays a heroic dog in a hit TV show and has some trouble recognizing that he doesn't even have superpowers. This becomes something of a hindrance when he is accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City. From there he has to make his way home with the help of a manky old cat and an overweight hamster in a plastic ball.

Bolt trivia
- WILHELM SCREAM: When Rhino is switching channels while watching TV.
- When Bolt threatens to drop Mittens from the overpass unless she tells him where Penny is, the bus from _Speed (1994/I)_ (qv) (with 2525 on the roof) passes underneath.
- Despite the film being fully computer animated, the crew still relied heavily on hand-drawn storyboards.
- In the German version of the movie the hamsters name has been changed from Rhino to Dino.
- In order to properly animate Rhino, the crew adopted a real hamster which they called Doink and filmed it from beneath while it was walking on a sheet of Plexiglas. Thus they were able to see how Rhino would walk in his plastic ball.

Mittens: No Bolt it is real, I was in there just now, I saw her face after you left. She's brokenhearted, she doesn't want just any dog, she loves you. She's your person, Bolt, and you are her dog. - Rhino: You're beyond awesome! You're... be-awesome!
